Lubbock Children’s Ministry Classroom Pastor
Location: Renew Life Church, Lubbock, Texas
Reports To: RLC Lubbock Children’s Director
Position Status: Part Time/Salary
Schedule: 10 hours per week, flexible schedule, present on Sundays
Overview:
The role of the Lubbock Children’s Ministry Classroom Pastor is to lead and oversee the assigned area in the Children’s Ministry of Renew Life Church Lubbock by partnering with parents to make disciples, create an atmosphere for kids to experience the presence of God, as well as care and develop a skilled team of volunteers to accomplish the vision of RLC with excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Communicate clear vision for your area of the children’s ministry to the Children’s Director and volunteer teams on a regular basis.
Identify volunteer leaders and bring them into ministry following all protocols required to ensure safety and appropriate training and orientation.
Build a cohesive team by recruiting, training, developing, pastoring, retaining, and giving volunteers opportunities and feedback.
Create an environment where volunteers feel valued, purposeful and prepared.
Assure all of your assigned area is scheduled and staffed each Sunday.
Available and willing to handle pastoral needs and connect with families.
Oversee all ministry within the assigned RLKids area to ensure that all programming, including atmosphere and curriculum, is executed in excellence and operating according to plan developed and communicated by Children’s Director
Create a fun, engaging, and healthy RLKids Ministry, specifically the area assigned.
Continue to analyze and implement new ways to grow your assigned area in all ministry aspects.
Lead the assigned team to assure overall goals are being met.
Maintaining an organized and clean environment in the assigned RLKids area.
Communicate needs (volunteer, children, curriculum) with RLC Children’s Director
Knowledge and Skills:
Budgeting, and organizing leader training and team building events.
Proficient in a Mac based environment, clear understanding of office equipment and software use.
Working knowledge of Planning Center in order to make service schedules, track attendance, schedule volunteers, etc.
Ability to learn quickly and handle the flexibility of working in a fast-paced environment.
Passionate about valuing people and helping them find their gifts and talents.
Attentive to details in all areas pertaining to RLKids.
Passionate about the value children have in the kingdom now.
